You read it right, on the same week that Volvo declared that they will stop manufacturing solely fossil fuel powered vehicles France has made a bold statement. Nicolas Hulot who is the country’s new ecologist said that this decision will be tough for french car manufactures but that the industry is ready for the change. Hulot also made it clear that this is also to fight health and environment  issue. No doubt this decision was influenced by the the Paris agreement. Other European countries such as Norway and Netherlands are planning to be fossil fuel free by 2025.
