The most powerful 911 of all time has just set a blistering, record breaking lap at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
The record time even surpassed Porsche’s own expectations. Not only is this the most powerful 911, it’s also the fastest. Setting a time of 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds, its almost a full 10 seconds faster than it’s big brother the Porsche 918 spyder. Porsche say that they did the test with two cars and two different drivers and got very consistent progressive results. These results show how much the 911 GT2 RS has evolved from its previous form. With a 700hp six-cylinder biturbo flat engine (80 more than predecessor) at its disposal and 750Nm of torque, the GT2 is now a benchmark for performance cars.
